FALL BOOK FAIR
November 21, 2013
9AM to 10PM
It is being held jointly with South at the Braintree Barnes & Noble, 150 Granite Street. Flyers and vouchers were in the November newsletter.
10% of all purchases—in the store on 21st, or at barnes&noble.com from November 21 to 26 will be awarded to the middle school libraries as a B&N gift card that will buy print, audio and e-books. You must use our Book Fair ID#112011423 to ensure that we earn credit for your purchases.There will be teacher wish lists—and parents can contribute toward Barnes & Noble gift cards for their children’s teachers.
Schedule of performers:
Between 1 and 3 PM:

East's Grade 8 Orchestra
Between 5 and 6PM:
Martin Joyce, South student, guitar

The library/media center is open to study hall students on Days 4, 5, and 6 from 7:45 a.m. on, unless the room has been reserved for a class. Students may do school related work on the computers(we have 28 netbooks), homework, research, check out books and magazines, or just READ.
It is also open Monday through Thursday after school until the late bus arrives around 3:15. Paraprofessional staff members are on hand to superivise homework.

Please encourage your student to take part in the 3rd Annual Battle of the Books on April 10. Details are in the November newsletter, and should be posted on the school website soon.
South's SPRING BOOK FAIR will be run by Scholastic, and will offer many new books, as well as some older favorites. It will take place in the library/media center in late May or early June. Students will bring fair flyers home in early May.
