Braintree School sessions will be canceled only in cases of extreme weather. An automated phone message will be sent first thing in the morning with information. No-school announcements are also broadcast over all major television and radio stations. If you feel that the weather conditions are detrimental to your child's well being and no announcement has been made, you are urged to use your personal judgment to keep your children home.

Alternate bus routes are used when weather conditions affect the safety of the road conditions. In the event that alternate bus routes are activated, an automated phone message will be sent. Make sure you are familiar with your alternate route. Since weather situations can at times change quickly and announcements may come late, communication between neighbors will help all parents to have current information.
