P.I.P - Parent Involvement ProgramP.I.P - Parent Involvement Program The Parent Involvement Program, Inc., PIP, is an all volunteer nonprofit organization whose mission is to develop, execute and fund experiences in math, science, & technology for families in our community. Volunteer parents work with the school staff, community resources, the business community and outside funding sources to bring these programs to life. The monthly Family Math Challenge is a two part puzzle that encourages families to work together for the solutions. The first part, "Guess the Profession", describes a profession using math, science and technology. The second part of the puzzle is a fun math problem that will use concepts taught in the classroom. Each month, one student from each of the 6 elementary schools will win a gift certificate to a local business as well as win a gift for their teacher. Parents interested in volunteering for PIP can call Julie McKinney at 781.843.2454 or visit the website www.parentinvolvementprogram.org |
