Believe

Happy New Year from all of us at the Braintree Fund for Education (BFFE). The holiday season is now behind us, but one word that was prevalent this past season was the word BELIEVE. Macy's department store used this word in many of its' holiday promotions and the word adorned many shopping bags. So, as we begin 2010, we ponder the question...

What do we believe in?

We think the word "believe" is apropos for our mission at the BFFE. As parents and guardians, we may have different political views or religious beliefs but we all share a common belief...we believe in our children. We believe that our children deserve the best that we can offer to them. We believe that every child deserves a good education. We believe in our teachers. We believe in our school system. It is our hope that we all believe in the mission of the Braintree Fund for Education. It is also our hope that you will join the BFFE in 2009 and insure that we give our children and our teachers the best resources to enable them to succeed in the classroom.

What is the BFFE and what has it accomplished?

The Braintree Fund for Education, Inc. (BFFE) is a 501(c) (3) public charity, comprised of volunteers from all 10 Parent Teacher Organizations, whose mission is to raise funds for the advancement of technology within our schools and fund the teacher grant program. The fund directly benefits the High School, East Middle, South Middle, Flaherty, Highlands, Hollis, Liberty, Morrison, Ross and the Integrated Pre-School.

Thanks to the financial support of our parents and community we have wired every elementary classroom for high speed internet access, purchased and installed 58 LCD projectors and trained 58 teachers on how to operate the projectors.

This past year, each of the nine principals received a one thousand dollar technology grant and ten teachers received a BFFE Teacher grant to fund worthwhile and innovative classroom projects.

How can I support the BFFE?

Braintree Fund for Education’s Annual

Will be held...

To date, the BFFE has raised over 160 thousand dollars to improve TECHNOLOGY and fund the TEACHER GRANT PROGRAM. This past year 31 teachers were selected to receive an LCD Projector for their classroom and will be trained on how to use and operate the projectors. Please see attachment.

Thank you for BELIEVING in our children's education!
