The East Cougapalooza raises funds to support a variety of afterschool clubs. There are two yearly sessions-fall and winter/spring. Each club runs for 10 weeks. They are FREE to all students. Clubs run from 2.30-3.30 students will be able to take the late bus. The 2012/2013 WINTER session will begin Jan 28 and will run for 10 weeks ending before April 12.Guitar Club Mr. Pearson Students will learn guitar in a group class. Beginners will learn as a group and then work independently. Students should have their own guitar. Great for students who want to just get together and jam! Will meet Wednesdays Student limit is 15. Located in Room 221 (Band Room)Anime Club Ms. Green This club is open to anyone who likes to draw, listen to music and relax together on Friday afternoons. No experience is necessary and everyone is welcome! Paper, drawing materials and books about cartooning will be provided. We’ll meet on Friday afternoons in room 222 (Ms. Green’s room) Design Squad and Tech Trek ClubAre you a person who likes to build things and see how they work? Would you like to build air pressure cars, hovercrafts, boats, Submarines, marble mazes, catapults and other cool things, then this is the club for you. Fridays Open to the first 20 studentsIf more sign up then a second day may be offered.Takes place in Room 116 after school.Mr. Glover
East Improv/Laff Riot Society Ms. Mann Students work together to come up with improvised skits or write short scenes to be performed. It will work a lot like the TV show Who’s Line is it Anyway. Mondays Room 201 Wii Club Ms. Morett Room 102 Friday Afternoons Join Wii Club because the beauty of Wii Sports is that it's really easy to play!! Simply grab the controller, and before you know it, you'll be controlling the game like it's second nature! That's what is so great about the game! Do you love to dance or at least pretend that you can? Learn real dance moves to songs you know and love! Have fun, break a sweat and shake a groove to Just Dance!
The East Magazine Stuff Club Ms. Auer At this club we will be making a magazine of students' art work and writing. We will collect submissions, read through the pieces of writing and look at the art. Then we will put the magazine together and distribute copies throughout the school! If you like writing, art or making magazines this is the club for you. Tuesday Afternoons Room 110 6th Grade Fitness Center Club Teacher Name: Mr. Tomassian 6th grade boys and girls will work out in the fitness center using our Nintendo Wii stations playing the new Just Dance 4 on two 42” flat screen tv’s, run on our treadmills, ride our bikes, use the medicine balls, dumbbells and exercise bands.
