Massachusetts Advocates for Children
Massachusetts Advocates for Children is a private non-profit organization dedicated to being an independent and effective voice for children who face significant barriers to equal educational and life opportunities. MAC works to overcome these barriers by changing conditions for many children, while also helping one child at a time. For 40 years, MAC has responded to the needs of children who are vulnerable because of poverty, race, limited English or disability.

Federation for Children With Special Needs / MASSPAC
The Federation is a center for parents and parent organizations to work together on behalf of children with special needs and their families. We can help! Organized in 1975 as a coalition of parent groups representing children with a variety of disabilities, the Federation operates a Parent Center in Massachusetts which offers a variety of services to parents, parent groups, and others who are concerned with children with special needs. MassPAC at the Federation for Children with Special Needs is the statewide organization providing information, training, and networking opportunities to Massachusetts special education parent advisory councils (PACs) and the professionals who collaborate with them. After almost eleven years as a private non-profit, MassPAC became part of the Federation in July 2009.

Braintree SUPERSTARS Sports League
A special needs sports league in Braintree for students of all ages. The program is completely volunteer run and lead by Kerrie Doherty. The Superstars learn skills and rules for soccer, basketball and baseball. Please see their website for more information.

Parents, educators, advocates, and attorneys come to Wrightslaw for accurate, reliable information about special education law, education law, and advocacy for children with disabilities. Available on this site is valuable information about IDEA 2004 and Special Education Law. The site also has access to related books, DVDs, and other websites.

Inclusive Yoga & Zumba - Energy Studio, Weymouth
Energy studio and Petit Papillion Yoga have partnered to offer inclusive yoga anad Zumba for children with special needs. One program is designed for boys and girls ages 3-5; This class is designed with the special needs of preschool aged kids with autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy and other developmental delays and physical challenges in mind. Yoga provides a gentle, comforting way for kids to be physically active. Wednesdays 4:30-5:15pm: "All Inclusive Yoga" (for children with special needs, boys and girls ages 6+) A class designed with the needs of older children with autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy and other developmental delays and physical challenges in mind. Through breathing techniques, yoga poses and sensory play, we will learn how to feel how our bodies can move and how to work together while having fun. Yoga provides a gentle, comforting way for kids to be physically active and interact with their peers.
