The PTO now will have the opportunity to earn cash through the Stop & Shop A+ School Rewards Program. All you have to do is: Log on to www.stopandshop.com/aplus to register online. After you register your card, each shopping trip at any Stop & Shop using your STOP & SHOP CARD earns CASH for our school! Each month, the amount of CASH awarded will be updated on the Stop & Shop website. You can track the amount of points you earn for our school by checking your grocery receipt and online when you create an account at http://www.stopandshop.com/. Our school will receive a check at the end of the program. The money can be used for any of our school's educational needs. Attending to this simple process makes a HUGE difference to our school. The 2013 All Night Grad Party planning process has started! Please join us at our meetings scheduled to follow all PTO meetings in the Media Center at Braintree High. This event takes many volunteers to make it a success and in order to sustain it from year-to-year, we need volunteers (freshmen, sophomore & junior parents). Please mention this event to your BHS friends and neighbors and feel free to bring them along to a meeting. The meetings will be posted on the BHS calendar. We welcome your participation throughout the year and understand if you are unable or do not want to be there on the evening of the event ... there are many ways to be involved throughout the year. The next All NIGHT GRAD PARTY meeting is March 7, 2013 @ 7pm in the Media Center. . This successful annual event is a safe alcohol and drug-free celebration for our graduating seniors. With the help of many volunteers and generous donations, the school is transformed into a combination cafe/bistro/night club atmosphere. Throughout the night the students are treated to music, games, entertainment, food and prizes. Please support this worthwhile cause with a small donation of your time and/or money. In order to guarantee the success of this year's event and to continue the tradition for future graduating seniors, we ask that each of our high school families make a contribution ($20 is requested by any amount is appreciated). The PTO hosts a Teacher Appreciation Brunch, supports a Teacher Wish List during the holiday season, presents scholarships to graduating seniors and donates to the Braintree Fund for Education (technology & teacher grants) and funds a cultural arts program. The PTO is able to do this due to the generous support of BHS families. Cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy The PTO is pleased to fund Dr. Michael Fowlin's presentation "You Don't Know Me Until You Know Me" on October 30th. Dr. Fowlin is an actor, psychologist, and poet who develops programs on issues of race, discrimination, violence and personal identity.
